Hanoi moves to disband 13 COVID-19 treatment facilities

VOV.VN - The capital has decided to suspend the operations of 13 medical facilities which were being used to treat COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms, amid new infections, severe cases, and deaths being on the decline.

The 13 centres are located across several districts in the capital, including Hoang Mai, Ha Dong, Long Bien, Hai Ba Trung, Tay Ho, and Cau Giay.

With the prolonged pandemic outbreak being gradually brought under control, management boards of the units are set to return these hospitals to the local administration to meet residents and students’ accommodation demand as the capital moves into the post-pandemic period.

F0 patients who suffer from underlying medical conditions or who develop serious COVID-19 symptoms will be transferred and treated at central-level medical facilities, such as the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases. Other facilities include hospitals for treatment of COVID-19 patients in and Thanh Nhan and and Duc Giang wards.

Recent weeks has seen Hanoi record just under 500 cases each day, with no deaths being confirmed.
