VOV.VN - Vietnam’s national team has won eight medals, including six silver and two bronze, at the 26th Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO 2026), according to the Ministry of Education and Training.
APhO 2026 was held in Busan, the Republic of Korea (RoK), from May 17 to May 25, with 28 delegations from 27 countries and territories taking part. Vietnam sent eight students to the competition, all of whom won medals, including six silver and two bronze.
With all eight students winning medals, Vietnam ranked among the top eight teams and was one of five delegations whose students all won medals.
According to the ministry, five of the eight Vietnamese students were 11th graders, showing the team’s strong performance at APhO 2026 and opening up promising prospects for the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in 2026, as well as future APhO and IPhO competitions in 2027.
