Da Nang strives to overcome negative impact of typhoon Molave

VOV.VN - The local authorities and residents of Da Nang were swift to carry out measures aimed at overcoming the consequences of typhoon Molave, the ninth storm to hit this year, as well as stabilising production and ensure that life returns to normal as soon as possible in the central city.

Local schools have made urgent efforts to clean up and repair damage caused by the weather event so that students can return to school.

Furthermore, hundreds of environmental workers have been mobilised to clear fallen trees and collect more than 4,000 tonnes of garbage that has been left across the streets of the central city.

Moreover, over 90 houses in Da Nang have had their roofs blown away, whilst more than 1,500 trees have been uprooted.

The typhoon has also brought down electric systems, causing extensive blackouts and affecting over 300,000 local people in the process.

A Da Nang Power Company representative said they are actively trying to fix the incident and ensure that the power supply to all affected households in the city returns on October 29 evening.
