Chinese fugitive arrested at Moc Bai border gate exiting to Cambodia
VOV.VN - Border guards in the southwestern province of Tay Ninh have apprehended a wanted Chinese national attempting to cross into Cambodia through the Moc Bai International Border Gate, officers reported on August 29.
During exit control checks on August 28, inspection officers at the checkpoint identified passenger Qin Nianwen, born in 1989, as he was clearing procedures to enter Cambodia.
Cross-checking his credentials on operational databases, border personnel confirmed that Qin was wanted by Chinese law enforcement.
According to verified records, the Gaotang County Public Security Bureau in Liaocheng City, Shandong province, China, had issued a criminal detention warrant against Qin for "illegal business operations."
The checkpoint officers immediately halted Qin's exit processing, alerted the immigration data management center, and put the fugitive under tight custody.
The Moc Bai station is working with relevant functional agencies to complete procedures for transferring Qin and the related evidence for further investigation and handling in accordance with the law.
