Cambodia thanks Vietnam for assistance in COVID-19 fight

VOV.VN - The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed its appreciation to the Vietnamese Government on April 21 for providing a sum of US$300,000 in humanitarian aid to assist the neighbouring country in its ongoing fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The provision of the aid is a clear sign of the continuous development of the traditional friendship that exists between both countries, along with being an expression of solidarity and neighbourliness, the Cambodian Ministry said during a press release.

Vietnamese leaders believe that through the wise leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Cambodia will soon be able to overcome this difficult period caused by the impact of the pandemic and emerge even stronger.

Both the Cambodian Government and people have offered their sincerely thanks to the Vietnamese Government and citizens for their continuous support of ongoing pandemic containment efforts in the neighbouring country.
