Apple launches education center for supplier employees in Vietnam

Operated in partnership with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), the first Apple Education Center model will begin offering courses this autumn.

The center provides a dynamic learning space where instructors and learners can learn directly from professional education experts, according to Apple.

The new curriculum covers a wide range of technical and professional skills through online and hands-on learning. Technical programs will equip learners with in-demand skills in smart manufacturing foundations, robotics, and automation technology.

Beyond technical training, the center offers comprehensive professional development courses. Participants can access leadership soft skills and line-leader training, enabling workers to advance in their current roles or pursue new career paths.

Sarah Chandler, Apple’s Vice President of Environment and Supply Chain Innovation, said the expansion of educational programs in Vietnam provides thousands of workers with access to critical skill training and new career advancement opportunities.

Apple and its supply partners currently offer nearly 20 educational programs for supplier employees in Vietnam. A newly launched robotics initiative focused on operation, programming, and maintenance has been introduced at five factories, with plans for further expansion.

Meanwhile, the center's broader course offerings will be rolled out across more than 30 supplier facilities nationwide, building skills in Swift programming, automation, and smart manufacturing.
