Another patient dies of complications linked to COVID-19
VOV.VN - A woman passed away on June 21 due to underlying health issues related to the COVID-19, according to the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang’s Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
The latest death involves a 61-year-old patient from My Tho city who had a long history of illnesses, including type 2 diabetes and hypertension.
On June 15, both her and her husband tested positive for COVID-19 and were subsequently transferred to Field Hospital No.1 in Chau Thanh district to undergo treatment.
The patient was suffering from a severe shortness of breath and was diagnosed with acute respiratory failure on June 21. She later passed away after being moved to Field Hospital No.2. The cause of death has been recorded as type 2 diabetes, high-blood pressure, and pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2.
