Additional 24 COVID-19 patients receive discharge from hospital

VOV.VN - Nineteen COVID-19 patients in Quang Nam province and five cases from Hai Duong province were given the all-clear on the morning of September 7 following a series of tests conducted on each the individuals.

The discharge of the patients comes after they all tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus several times.

Upon arriving home, each individual must undergo a 14-day period of quarantine in line with regulations relating to COVID-19 prevention and control.

Currently, 67 out of a total of 96 COVID-19 patients detected in Quang Nam province have made a full recovery from the virus.

Furthermore, there are 29 positive COVID-19 cases being treated in Quang Nam province at present, including the nation’s oldest patient at 100 years old, who is in a stable health condition.

Moreover, an 83-year-old woman is in critical condition and is now undergoing High-Flow Nasal Cannula therapy.

Since the initial outbreak of the virus, the nation has recorded 1,049 positive COVID-19 cases, with 839 patients going on to make a fully recovery from the disease, whilst there has been a total of 35 fatalities.

Of the overall number of infections, 691 cases have occurred through local transmission, in addition to 358 imported ones, which were immediately placed into isolation upon entering into the country.

Most notably, the overall figure for infections related to Da Nang stands at 551 since July 25, making the central city the nation’s largest COVID-19 outbreak hotspot.
