A magnitude 3.3 earthquake jolts central Vietnam
VOV.VN - A magnitude 3.3 earthquake on the Richter scale jolted Bac Tra My, a mountainous district of Quang Nam province, central Vietnam, on the morning of June 7.
The earthquake occurred at 05:41:57 at a depth of approximately eight kilometers, said the Institute of Geophysics under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
The quake has caused many local people to clearly feel the tremor, according to local media outlets.
So far, no fatalities or property damage have been reported.
The Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Centre under the Institute of Geophysics said it was monitoring the quake.
On May 30 two minor quakes measuring 3.1 and 2.6 on the Richter Scale also hit the locality.
