VFF leader meets with top Lao legislator

VOV.VN - President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Do Van Chien on December 7 met with Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Saysomphone Phomvihane.

Saysomphone Phomvihane told his host that during his visit, made following the invitation of NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, both sides reviewed the great friendship, special solidarity and all-around cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao Parties, States and people, and agreed to further boost the relationship in the time ahead.

The Lao official hailed cooperation between the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) and the VFF and voiced his hope that the two sides will continue carrying out  their reached cooperation agreements in a more practical and effective manner.

He suggested both organizations should augment closer coordination in the coming year, and step up the education and communication work among young people as a contribution to propelling the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation forward.

In response, Chien said the VFF at all levels will devise a plan to intensify exchanges between residents along the shared border line.

Chien expressed his confidence that the top Lao legislator will do his best efforts to help the two sides better materialise guidelines reached by both nations’ Party and State leaders.

On the occasion, Saysomphone Phomvihane present souvenirs to VFF President Do Van Chien.
