Russia's friendship order bestowed on President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum official

VOV.VN - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, on behalf of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, presented the Friendship Order to Major General Bui Hai Son, acting head of the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board and Commander of the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command, during a ceremony held on April 6 in Hanoi.

Maj. Gen. Son was honoured for his contributions to promoting friendship and co-operation between the nation and Russia.

Upon addressing the ceremony, Russian Deputy PM Chernyshenko underlined that Russia greatly values the efforts and contributions made by the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board and Maj Gen Son in promoting ties between the two nations.

The Russian side, especially the All-Russian Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (VILAR), will continue to co-ordinate alongside the board to perform the task of maintaining and protecting the utmost safety of President Ho Chi Minh’s body, he said.

In response, Maj. Gen. Son said that the order is great honour to him. He pledged that moving forward the board will continue to further develop its sound partnership with the VILAR, while actively contributing to reinforcing ties of friendship and solidarity between the two countries.

Earlier the same day, Russian Deputy PM Chernyshenko and the Russian delegation laid flowers at the Bac Son Monument for Heroic Martyrs and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.
