President extends condolences over Iraqi bomb attack

President Tran Dai Quang on July 4 cabled a message of condolence to his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Masum over a terror bombing in the Iraqi capital of Bagdad that claimed the lives of 165 people and wounded 131 others. 

The bombing, which occurred in Karrada-Dakhil district in southern Baghdad, is the bloodiest attack this year in Iraq, according to foreign media. 

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced three days of national mourning for the victims after he visited the blast site on July 3.
