PM Chinh departs for official visit to Japan
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh left Hanoi on the afternoon of November 22 for an official visit to Japan following an invitation made by his Japanese counterpart Kishida Fumio.
This will mark PM Chinh's first official visit to the Far East nation since he assumed the role of PM and he will be the first foreign guest hosted by the Japanese PM.
The PM is set to be accompanied by Defence Minister Phan Van Giang, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Prosecutor General Le Minh Tri, and Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra. They will be joined by Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha, and Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long.
The visit is taking place amid bilateral relations currently enjoying their most flourishing period in history since the original establishment of diplomatic relations. Through the visit, the nation affirms its willingness to work alongside Japan to open up a more substantive and effective development stage across a variety of fields, especially in terms of economics, defence-security, and people-to-people diplomacy.
During the course of the visit, which is scheduled to run until November 25, PM Chinh will discuss ways to bolster co-operation in key areas with Japanese leaders, including in economics, health care, security, defence, and co-operation in international issues of shared concern at multilateral forums.
