NA convenes second extraordinary meeting

VOV.VN - The second extraordinary meeting of the 15th National Assembly opened in Hanoi on January 5, which will consider and decide urgent and necessary issues in order to to promptly meet the requirements of life.

Accordingly, the National Assembly (NA) will consider and adopt the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment (amended).

Regarding decisions on important national issues, the NA will consider and pass three resolutions, including a resolution on the National Master Plan for the 2021-2023 period, with a vision to 2050, a resolution on continuing to implement a number of policies related to COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control and a resolution on supplementing the state budget estimate with foreign non-refundable aid capital.

Concerning personnel work, the legislature will consider and dismiss the tasks NA deputies and the dismissal and appointment of a number of cabinet members.

In his opening speech, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that the extraordinary meeting aims to learn from the success of the first extraordinary meeting. This extraordinary meeting is a "normal" activity of the National Assembly to meet the urgent requirements of the real situation.

On behalf of the NA Standing Committee, the top Vietnamese legislator asked NA deputies promote democracy, uphold the sense of responsibility, focus on research, discussion to contribute good opinions.

He also suggested NA agencies, the Government and relevant agencies to seriously explain the opinions given by NA deputies, finalize law projects and draft resolutions for submission to the National Assembly for consideration and decision.
