Government Inspectorate bolsters cooperation with Cambodian Ministry of Inspection

VOV.VN - The Government Inspectorate of Vietnam and the Cambodian Ministry of Inspection signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation, as part of their meeting in Hanoi on June 10.

In his address, Vietnamese Inspector General Doan Hong Phong expressed his joy and warm welcome to Cambodian Minister of Inspection Hout Hak and his delegation’s working visit to Vietnam, saying that the freshly-signed MoU serves as a foundation to further augment cooperation between the two inspection agencies in the following years.

Inspector General Doan Hong Phong emphasized that the working visit to Vietnam by the Cambodian delegation represents an important milestone, and a vivid expression of the sound friendly and cooperative relations between the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam and the Cambodian Ministry of National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspection over the past years.

The visit is viewed as a valuable opportunity for the two sides to share experience in directing and managing inspection work, receiving citizens, and dealing with complaints and denunciations, thus helping improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management, and promote sustainable economic development and social progress of each country.

Minister Hout Hak also expressed his confidence that this visit will contribute to consolidating and deepening the relationship of "good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability" between the two countries after the official visit to Vietnam by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet in December 2023.

Regarding cooperation between the two agencies, Minister Hout Hak stated that the two countries' inspectorate agencies have signed many MoUs and this 5th MoU demonstrates the spirit of solidarity, friendship and fruitful cooperation.

With this new MoU, the two inspection agencies will achieve even greater successes in fulfilling the tasks assigned by the Party and State and serving the interests of both nations’ citizens.

After the reception, the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam had talks with the high-ranking delegation of the Cambodian Ministry of Inspection on inspection work, citizen reception, and resolving complaints and denunciations in Vietnam during the first months of this year and orientations from now until the end of 2024.
