President Luong Cuong pays Lunar New Year visit to Commando Corps

VOV.VN - State President Luong Cuong, the Commander of the Armed Forces and Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council, visited and extended Lunar New Year 2025 wishes to the Commando Corps on January 20.

In recent times, the Commando Corps has focused on building a highly skilled, compact, and strong force that is always prepared for battle. It has conducted training and exercises to enhance combat readiness, technical and tactical proficiency, and special combat skills. Commandos are always prepared to achieve victory in any situation, especially in unplanned missions and tasks.

The force has strengthened its Party building and rectification campaign, to ensure that it remains highly elite politically. Furthermore, it has regularly improved the material and spiritual life of officers and soldiers, effectively carried out family support work and provided appropriate policies and incentives to motivate troops to overcome difficulties and strive to successfully complete all assigned missions.

At the meeting, President Luong Cuong praised the force’s outstanding contributions to national defense and security over the past year. He emphasized that 2025 is a year of significant importance for Vietnam as country is striving to achieve and exceed the targets set by the 13th National Congress of the Party, confidently ushering the country into a new era of strong development.

To successfully achieve these goals, he said the entire Party, army and people must unite, work together, and move forward in solidarity to overcome difficulties and challenges. In this spirit, he called on the Commando Corps to continue effectively implementing the resolutions and directives of the Party, State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense on military and defense issues.

The President emphasized the need for the Commando Corps to remain vigilant, well-equipped, and well-trained to respond to modern security challenges. He encouraged the unit to continue upgrading its capabilities, particularly in cyber defense and intelligence gathering.

The Commando Corps needs to regularly innovate and enhance the quality of its training, starting with improving combat tactics, martial arts, and commando techniques. At the same time, it should continue to research, inherit, and develop commando warfare art that aligns with the current organization structure, weapons, and equipment, as well as future development trends, said the President.

He urged the Commando Corps to continue collaborating with local Party committees and administrations to innovate and improve the effectiveness of civic operations.

As the Lunar New Year 2025 is drawing near, the President extended his best wishes to leaders, officers and staff of the Commando Corps.
