Party, State leaders pay tributes to President Ho Chi Minh

VOV.VN - A delegation of leaders of the Vietnamese Party, State, National Assembly, Government and Vietnam Fatherland Front laid a wreath at President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi on May 18 to mark the late President’s 133rd birth anniversary.

The delegation was led by State President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue and Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee President Vu Van Chien.

The Party and State leaders respectfully expressed their boundless gratitude to President Ho who had founded, led and trained the Communist Party of Vietnam.

They later laid a wreath at the nearby Monument of Fallen Soldiers in commemoration of those who had laid down their lives for the cause of national liberation and for national independence and freedom as well as people’s happiness.

Ho Chi Minh was born on May 19, 1890 and died on September 2, 1969. He was recognised as a Vietnamese hero of national liberation and a great man of culture by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).
