New Cabinet lineup to be unveiled today

VOV.VN - A new Cabinet lineup is set to be unveiled during the closing ceremony of the 14th National Assembly’s final session in Hanoi on April 8.

Lawmakers are due to conduct a vote by secret ballot to approve a list of 14 Cabinet nominees before holding the closing ceremony.

In a list proposed by newly elected Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the new Cabinet will have two more Deputy Prime Ministers and 12 Ministers and heads of ministerial-level bodies.

Earlier on April 7, the lawmakers voted for a resolution to relieve a Deputy Prime Minister and 12 Ministers and heads of ministerial-level bodies of their posts due to successful completion of duties.

The 2016-2021 National Assembly is scheduled to hold the closing ceremony of its last session in the afternoon.

During the two-week sitting, alongside legislation, the legislative body has spent much time completing personnel structure in the State apparatus.

It has relieved the National Assembly Chairperson, State President, Prime Minister, Head of the National Election Council, as well as other officials of their posts and elected successors.

This is the last session of the National Assembly before voters will go to the polls next month to elect a new legislature for 2021-2026.
