NA Standing Committee to debate bills in week-long session

VOV.VN - The Standing Committee of the National Assembly is scheduled to convene a week-long sitting in Hanoi on March 15 to discuss a number of bills.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony, and NA vice chairmen will take turns to preside over subsequent working days.

Among the bills to be tabled for discussion are revised bills on prices, bidding, public security, water resources, housing, and cooperatives, and a bill on management and protection of national defense works and military zones.

The key lawmakers will consider adding the revised bills on citizen ID cards and credit institutions to the law-making programme for 2023.

They will also consider the Prime Minister’s proposal regarding the appointment and dismissal of ambassadors of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad.

As part of the week-long session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will grill several Cabinet members over issues of public concern on March 20. The hearing will be broadcast live on the national radio and television network as well as on the online platform.
