NA elects three new vice chairmen
VOV.VN - Deputies to the 14th National Assembly voted on a proposal to elect three vice chairpersons of the legislative body during its plenary session in Hanoi on April 1.
Voting results showed Tran Thanh Man, a Politburo member and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Nguyen Khac Dinh, a member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Khanh Hoa provincial Party Committee, and Nguyen Duc Hai, a member of the Party Central Committee and head of the NA Committee for Finance and Budgetary Affairs, were elected to keep the positions.
Man, Dinh and Hai are to succeed Tong Thi Phong, Uong Chu Luu and Phung Quoc Hien who were relieved from posts following their successful completion of duties during the 2016-2021 tenure.
A resolution on the election of the three vice chairmen of the legislative body was voted by 455 out of 456 deputies present at the plenary session.
On March 31, the deputies elected Nguyen Dinh Hue, a Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, as the chairperson of the National Assembly.
Vietnamese people will ast their ballots in May this year to elect a new National Asembly for the 2021-2026.
