Final NA session set to elect key personnel of State apparatus
VOV.VN - The 14th National Assembly (NA) is scheduled to launch its last session this week with a primary focus on the voting of key positions for personnel to the State apparatus for the 2021-2026 tenure.
NA deputies will dismiss State President Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and Chairperson of the legislative body Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan before subsequently electing personnel to hold these positions by secret ballot.
Following this, the new leaders will then be sworn in shortly after the conclusion of the voting.
The deputies will also dismiss and elect other leaders to the State apparatus, including the positions of Vice State President, Vice Chairpersons of the NA, the State Auditor General, the NA General Secretary, a number of Deputy Prime Ministers and Cabinet members.
Moreover, they will dismiss and elect a new Chairman of the National Election Council, a number of members of the National Election Commission, along with personnel to positions such as Vice President and some members of the National Defense and Security Council.
The NA is scheduled to work on the dismissal and voting of high-level personnel on March 30.
The final session is due to last until April 8, according to information released by Nguyen Hanh Phuc, incumbent NA General Secretary.
Vietnamese people will cast their ballots this May in order to elect 500 deputies to the new NA for the 2021-2026 tenure.
