The congress will last nine days, from Jan. 25 to Feb. 2, according to a decision adopted by the Party Central Committee at its recent conference in Hanoi.

During the event, Party members will debate a number of reports, including a political report, a report evaluating the implementation of the 2011-2020 socio-economic development strategy and the building of the 2021-2030 socio-economic development strategy.

They will examine a report reviewing the realisation of socio-economic tasks during the 2016-2020 period and orientations and tasks for 2021-2025.

They will elect leaders to the Politburo and the Secretariat.
