Vietnam, Russia strengthen military technical cooperation

VOV.VN - Deputy Defense Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Le Huy Vinh on June 23 received Anatoly Chuprynov, Chief Representative of the Russian Federal Service for Technical-Military Cooperation to Vietnam.

They examined the results of military-technical cooperation between the two countries’ Defense Ministries in recent times, and expected to further promote bilateral cooperation in the field in the future.

The Russian official proposed that both sides hold the 22nd meeting of the Russia-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee for military-technical cooperation this year.

For his part, Gen. Vinh appreciated the results of military-technical cooperation between the two sides over the past time, especially the role of the Vietnam - Russia Intergovernmental Committee for military technical cooperation.

Acknowledging the Russian official’s future cooperation proposal, Gen. Vinh suggested the two sides continue to effectively implement their cooperation plan, promote and perfect the existing cooperation frameworks and mechanisms.
