Vietnam, Russia promote collaboration at UN forums

VOV.VN - Vietnam and Russia will continue to promote collaboration and cooperation at the United Nations and other multilateral forums to address common concerns of the international community, especially in the fields of global peace and security.

The agreement was reached during a meeting in Hanoi on December 8 between Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang and Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady S. Bezdetko.

The two sides expressed their satisfaction at the positive developments of the Vietnam – Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in many aspects, which were clearly shown through the recent Russia visit by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc. 

They held that the two sides have regularly coordinated and shared their common stance on many regional and global issues, in the spirit of openness, transparency and mutual trust, actively contributing to strengthening bilateral relations.

They agreed to continue to maintain exchanges and dialogues at all levels, including annual consultations on cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries, and at United Nations agencies on cooperation in human rights issues.

The two sides also agreed to continue exchanges and dialogues to promote mutual understanding on issues of mutual concern and enhance bilateral cooperation in other specialized fields.
