Vietnam extends sympathy over Maldives bombing
VOV.VN - Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son has sent a message of sympathy to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives Abdulla Shahid over a bomb attack in Male capital which injured the Parliament Speaker and former President Mohamed Nasheed.
The blast, which occurred on May 6, also made several others wounded.
The blast outside former President Mohamed Nasheed's home in Male left him in a critical condition.
Police said they have detained three of the four suspects involved in the explosion, blamed on Islamic extremists.
Police did not provide further details on the suspect but appealed for more information about another man seen at the scene of the attack.
