Malaysian PM arrives in Hanoi, meets local businesses
VOV.VN - Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob arrived in Hanoi on March 20, beginning a two-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Upon his arrival, the Malaysian PM met with representatives from three Vietnamese groups: Sovico, Hoa Binh Construction and Gami.
PM bin Yaakob called on Vietnamese businesses to team up with their Malaysian partners to foster cooperation in various fields, including transportation, tourism and labour.
These fields, he said have borne the brunt of the recent COVID-19 pandemic but are expected to boom in the coming time.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is scheduled to host an official welcome ceremony for the Malaysian PM in Hanoi on March 21. The two PMs will then hold talks and witness the signing of a number of cooperation documents between the countries.
The Malaysian PM will also meet with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
