Japan Party leader commends Vietnam’s COVID-19 combat efforts
VOV.VN - Kazuo Shii, Chairman of the Japanese Communist Party, has highly appreciated the efforts the Vietnamese Party, Government and people have made in responding to the ongoing fight against COVID-19 in the country.
While receiving Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam on August 17, Kazuo said he was impressed by the strong support Vietnamese have shown for drastic measures adopted to halt the spread of the virus, and believed Vietnam will soon win the battle.
He thanked the Vietnamese leaders for strengthening the cooperative relations between the two communist parties and two countries, and expressed his hope that the two parties will resume visit exchanges by their senior leaders as soon as the pandemic is brought under control.
Ambassador Nam, who presented the Vietnamese State President and Prime Minister’s letters to Kazuo, noted the Vietnam-Japan relations have developed strongly and comprehensively on high political trust.
Both countries have really shared, supported each other, and actively cooperated in COVID-19 prevention and control. Meanwhile, the Communist Party of Vietnam also attaches great importance to the traditional friendship and cooperation relationship with the Japanese Communist Party.
Nam briefed his host on the results of the 13th National Party Congress early this year that charted a development course for Vietnam in the coming decades. He expressed his belief that the traditional friendship, solidarity and relationship between the two parties will continue to be consolidated and deepened, contributing to promoting the extensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan.
