German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to visit Vietnam this weekend
VOV.VN - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will pay an official visit to Vietnam on November 13-14, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.
The visit has been made at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the ministry said in a communique released on November 8.
Vietnam and Germany established diplomatic ties in 1975, and both sides lifted their relationship to the level of strategic partnership in 2011.
Currently, Germany is Vietnam’s largest trading partner in Europe while Vietnam is Germany’s largest trading partner in Southeast Asia and the sixth largest in Asia.
