Deputy PM Le Van Thanh meets Russian counterpart
VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh held a working session with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Chernyshenko in Moscow on December 1, as part of the ongoing Russia visit by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Both sides reviewed results of the 23rd meeting of the Vietnam – Russia Inter-Governmental Committee on Economic, Trade and Scientific and Technological Cooperation held virtually in October. They also discussed ways to further boost bilateral ties in various areas in the future.
Thanh said a number of contents agreed by the two sides at the meeting had been initially implemented, making an important contribution to the results of talks between President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and President Vladimir Putin.
The two Deputy PMs said they would direct ministries and agencies to realize the minutes of the meeting, focusing on cooperation in traditional and spearhead fields such as energy, oil and gas, trade, investment, science-technology, as well as expanding cooperation to other new promising areas like clean energy and health care, including the fight against COVID-19.
On the occasion, Thanh invited Chernyshenko to visit Vietnam in the near future.
They later witnessed the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements in the fields of energy, oil and gas, culture and health care.
