Deputy PM hosts Vice President of Cuban legislature

VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai received Vice President of the National Assembly of People’s Power of Cuba Ana Mary Machado in Hanoi on September 18.

Khai welcomed his guest’s visit which he said shows Cuba’s support for Vietnam, as well as the special traditional friendship between the two countries.

He affirmed that the Government of Vietnam would do its best to continuously cultivate the relations and promote bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of their strengths, for the legitimate interests of the two peoples.

Khai proposed that Cuba provide continued support for Vietnamese firms in expanding investment, production and business activities, while offering appropriate payment mechanisms, including projects implemented in agriculture.

Ana Mary Machado for her part highly appreciated Vietnam’s development achievements as well as the fruitful results of cooperation between the two countries in recent times.

She briefed her host on Cuba’s socio-economic development and said Cuba would continue to cement ties with Vietnam in all fields, along with supporting Vietnamese firms in doing business in the country.

Cuba can provide expertise not only in health care but also in other fields, she said, affirming that the Cuban legislature support cooperation between the two governments and business communities.
