Congratulation on 72nd anniversary of Vietnam – China diplomatic ties

VOV.VN - Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long has sent a video speech to the Chinese people via the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam to mark the 72nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between both nations.

As part of his remarks, Minister Long affirmed the bilateral friendship and neighbourliness, fostered by Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Mao Zedong, as well as generations of Vietnamese and Chinese leaders, which has become a precious asset of the two Parties, States, and peoples.

Developing the comprehensive strategic co-operative partnership between the two countries is a top priority in Vietnamese foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralisation, and diversification, the official  emphasised.

He went on to express his confidence in the healthy development of bilateral ties moving forward. Indeed, Minister Long suggested that Vietnamese and Chinese agencies at all levels and sectors raise common awareness of the two countries’ leaders about consolidating mutual trust and understanding, whilst also promoting the effectiveness of bilateral co-operation, particularly in economy-trade and disease prevention.

It can also be viewed as essential to promptly tackle problems arising in the joint works, as well as creating favourable conditions to facilitate two-way travel and transactions to nurture the comprehensive strategic co-operative partnership toward sustainability and practical outcomes, the Minister said.

On the occasion, Minister Long extended his New Year and Lunar New Year greetings to people of both nations.

Furthermore, in a video speech made to mark the anniversary, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo hailed the two side’s various achievements in ties over the past 72 years.

He said that the Chinese Party and State highly value the development of such neighbourly friendship and comprehensive co-operation with Vietnam.

The diplomat affirmed his nation's willingness to work alongside their Vietnamese partners to strengthen political trust, deepen substantive collaboration in multiple fields, and enhance exchanges and mutual understanding. This will therefore open up a new period in the relations between the two parties, countries, and peoples moving forward.
