Bulgarian ambassador honoured with friendship medal
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) presented the commemorative medal “For Peace and Friendship among Nations” to Bulgarian Ambassador to Vietnam Marinela Petkova at a ceremony in Hanoi on June 6.
VUFO President, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga stated that this is to recognize the Bulgarian diplomat's significant contributions to strengthening the friendship, special solidarity and all-around cooperation between the two peoples.
During Marinela Petkova’s tenure in Vietnam, the ties between the two nations have been consolidated, with the contribution by the diplomat to promoting high-level political dialogues, supporting the implementation of Bulgaria's official aid programme to Vietnam, as well as signing cooperation agreements at central and local levels of the two countries.
For her part, Marinela Petkova showed her elation at the honour and thanked the VUFO, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga and Vietnamese friends for the support they gave her during her tenure in Vietnam.
She pledged her sustained efforts to reinforce and develop the friendship and cooperation between the two countries no matter what position he takes up.
