‘Pokémon Go’ craze sweeps Mid-Autumn Festival

VOV.VN - Pokémon Go, the latest gaming craze to sweep the globe, has young people from all over Vietnam flocking to the Mid-Autumn Festival in Ho Chi Minh City in search of their favourite fictional animal.

Parents walk the city streets with five children during the Festival, which always falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, in search of Pokémon creatures.  

Parents snap pictures of their kids in front of a huge Pikachu (a species of Pokémon) at the Festival.


Children excitedly rush around Pokémon Frog Magic.

Young boy rides Caterpie, a Pokémon resembling a green caterpillar, while his sibling smiles for the camera.

Le Phuoc Anh Phuong (native of Tien Giang) and his wife arrive at the Festival with their two children in search of Pokémon. 

Dinh Thi Huynh Nhu cradles her two-year-old daughter Nguyen Hoai An who is mesmerized by all the wonderful lanterns and Pokémon characters.
