VOV.VN - A coffee museum has recently opened in Buon Ma Thuot city in the Central Highland province of Dak Lak. On display are many items featuring the history of coffee in Vietnam and from around the world.
The museum opened for visitors from November 24 and is undoubtedly one of the most unique museums in Vietnam in terms of its architecture and featured items. |
The design of the museum is based on Nha Dai (long houses) architecture that can be found across the Central Highlands. Ngoc Han, Miss Vietnam 2010, Huyen My, Top 10 finalist in Miss Grand International 2017, Ky Duyen, Miss Vietnam 2014, Ngoc Tran, Miss Hue and Hoang My, Miss Universe Vietnam 2011, (L-R) attended the opening ceremony of the museum. |
The museum has a number of areas, including an exhibition area, library, coffee tasting area and a workshop. |
The museum’s collection features over 10, 000 artifacts about the history of the world's coffee, with much of the collection being brought from the Jens Burg museum in Germany. |
The architecture of the museum provides an open atmosphere that allows visitors to discover both history and culture. |
Historic Vietnamese coffee processing tools are on display. |
An interactive area allows visitors to experience coffee culture through five senses, although photographs are not permitted in some areas. |
The space inside the museum is designed beautifully to be close to nature. |
The inauguration of the museum marks the first activity of the 2019 Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival. Vietnam is currently the second largest coffee exporter in the world after Brazil. |
A single entrance ticket costs VND75,000 per adult, and VND40,000 per child. |
Visitors also have chance to discover the museum through 3D interactive images. |
