President Nguyen Xuan Phuc will pay an official visit to Laos on August 9-10 at the invitation of General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President Thongloun Sisoulith.

He is scheduled to hold talks with President Sisoulith, and meet with other senior Government and National Assembly leaders. Several cooperation agreements are expected to be signed during the visit.

Phuc will also attend a handover ceremony of the newly built National Assembly Building of Laos – a special gift from the Party, State and people of Vietnam to the Lao Party, State and people.
