Multimedia Photos Monday, 10:23, 04/04/2022 Lily blossoming signals the start of summer VOV.VN - Lilies, known as “loa ken” in Vietnamese, are in full bloom in April, indicating that summer is approaching. Every corner of the capital of Hanoi is blessed with lilies entering full bloom in the early days of April. Lilies are typically grown in the Tay Tuu and Quang Ba flower villages in Hanoi. Growers plant the bulbs of these flowers in September in order for them to bloom in time for April of the following year. The blooming season for lily flowers often lasts for around 20 days each year, mostly in April. These days, local residents can easily spot lilies on streets throughout the capital such as Thuy Khue, Phan Dinh Phung, Lang Ha, and Thanh Nien. The flowers enthrall people with their subtle scent and white petals. Lilies usually stand out among the other colourful flowers on sale thanks to their purity and beauty. A bunch of 10 to 20 branches costs between VND40,000 to VND70,000. A young person takes the opportunity to record some poetic moments in the capital during the lily flower blooming season. Together with other flowers in full bloom, lily blossoming signals the arrival of summer in Vietnam. VOV Photos: VTC.VN
