King Abdullah II’s visit to Vietnam in the spotlight
VOV.VN - King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan has paid an official visit to Vietnam on November 12 - 13 at the invitation of President Luong Cuong.

At the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong hosts a welcoming ceremony for the King on the same day, and the two leaders hold talks shortly afterwards.
During the talks, President Cuong and King Abdullah II agree to foster Vietnam – Jordan relations to a new stage. The two sides also agree to effectively implement the MoU between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs signed during the visit, consider early signing of agreements to establish other cooperation mechanisms, and soon appoint honourary consuls in each country.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man meets with King Abdullah II on November 12. They agree to strengthen political trust, enhance the effectiveness of parliamentary cooperation, and facilitate the trade of each country’s strong products.
Receiving the King, General Secretary To Lam affirms that Vietnam attaches great importance to strengthening relations with Middle Eastern countries, including Jordan. The two leaders agree on several specific measures and major orientations for bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Jordan.
Meeting with the King on November 12, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirms that Vietnam is ready to create favourable conditions for major Jordanian corporations to operate in Vietnam. The two sides discuss measures to promote cooperation in various fields, including education and training, agriculture, defense and security, people-to-people exchanges, tourism, and health care.
On November 13, King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son attend and deliver remarks at the Jordan–Vietnam Business Forum. At the event, the King emphasises that Vietnam and Jordan can serve as an economic bridge linking Southeast Asia with Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and calls for stronger economic cooperation to match the solid diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Also on November 13, King Abdullah II attends the Jordan–Vietnam textile and garment industry roundtable discussion.
