Impressive photos of Vietnam win international awards
VOV.VN - This year a number of stunning photos captured by local photographers have won international prizes across a variety of categories.
The photo entitled "Buddha statue on the roof of Indochina" taken by photographer Le Viet Khanh wins third prize in the Professional category of the Monochrome Awards, the world’s most prestigious black and white photo contest.
Nguyen Ngoc Thien claims second prize in the aerial photography category of the annual 35AWARDS for his shot showing fishermen catching anchovies on Hon Yen Islet in Phu Yen province in southcentral Vietnam.
Tran Viet Van wins first prize in the Street Food category of the UK’s Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Awards with his shot of four young girls enjoying che, sweet soup, on a street in Hoi An, a UNESCO heritage site and a top Vietnamese tourist destination.
An image snapped by local photographer Khanh Phan titled “Drying fish” finishes first in the travel category at the Sony World Photography Awards 2021. The image features a lone woman surrounded by hundreds of trays containing drying fish in Long Hai fish market in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
