The game became tougher in the second half, with midfielder Van Hung scoring the first goal for Dong Tam Long An in the 50^th minute. Ten minutes later Hai Phong’s striker Dang Van Thanh equalised the scoring and five minutes before the stoppage time, receiving the ball from his teammate, Julien jumped higher and headed the ball into Dong Tam Long An’s empty net.

This is the first time Mitsusta Hai Phong have snatched the cup. The host team received a VND150 million prize, while the visiting team received VND70 million.
