Taiwan, Vietnam expand cooperation in e-commerce

(VOV) - The Vietnam- Taiwan digital forum 2015 will open more opportunities for Vietnam and Taiwan to boost Internet and e-commerce cooperation.

Vice Chairperson of the HMC City People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong made the statement at the opening ceremony of the digital forum held by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Internet and E-Commerce Association in the city on July 7.

The forum provided a good chance for Vietnamese businesses to gain a better understanding about e-commerce business models and learn from successful Taiwanese partners.

The event attracted hundreds of businesses, including 21 outstanding firms from Taiwan like PCHome Online, Uitox, AppWorks, Accelerator, 2R International, Fashion Guide, Achilles Information, ShineWant Tech.Co.,Ltd (Youth Want website), Ruten (PChome & ebay JV) and others.

Speakers from Taiwan shared experience in supporting small-and medium-sized enterprises to expand global trade and transporting goods globally by cloud computing and online payment solutions.

Tran Huy Hien, Secretary General of Vietnam Logistics Association, said Vietnam should learn e-commerce and IT development experience from developed countries and territories in the context of deep international integration and fierce competition.
