Seminar focuses on Post AEC integration
(VOV) - Doing business in the rapidly changing marketplace now that the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) has come to fruition was the theme of a December 8 seminar in the central province of Quang Nam.
“Given the context of the AEC and regional integration, the demands for information pertaining to the changes in the marketplace are vitally important,” said Vice Chairman Le Van Thanh of the Provincial People’s Committee in a speech at the event.
He said the goal of the seminar was to help businesses gain insights into the opportunities and challenges the AEC offers so they can develop appropriate business plans and strategies.
The AEC, envisioned as a common market and production base, with a free flow of goods and services, skilled labour, capital and investments.
It is projected to have a gross domestic product of US$3.2 trillion that can help boost the economies of its 10 member countries and benefit their combined population of over 600 million consumers.
