Vinacomin records highest growth in industrial sector in nine months

The Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) recorded a high growth of 14 percent in the first nine months of 2019, the highest level in the industrial sector.

As of the end of September, Vinacomin produced 30 million tonnes of coal, up 2.1 million tonnes compared to the same period last year.
The group sold 33.41 million tonnes of coal, a year-on-year rise of 8 percent, and provided 26.48 million tonnes of coal for thermal power plants, up 23 percent.
Its revenue surpassed 98.4 trillion VND (4.2 billion USD) in January-September, up 17 percent year-on-year.
This year, Vinacomin sets a goal of producing 40 million tonnes of coal and selling 42 million tonnes of coal.
The group strives to rake in 130 trillion VND (5.6 billion USD) in revenue and contributed 17.8 trillion VND to the State budget.
