Vietnamese firm demonstrates technological capabilities at INTERSCHUTZ 2026
VOV.VN - INTERSCHUTZ 2026, one of the world's leading exhibitions for fire protection, rescue services and civil protection, is being held at the Hannover Exhibition Centre in Germany from June 1-6, gathering businesses, organisations, experts, firefighters, rescue personnel and policymakers from around the world.
Under the theme "Safeguarding Tomorrow", INTERSCHUTZ 2026 continues to reinforce its position as a global meeting point for the fire protection, rescue and civil protection industries.
This year's event takes place as the world faces increasingly complex non-traditional security challenges, including climate change, extreme weather events, wildfires, industrial accidents, urban risks, large-scale emergencies and the need to modernise crisis response forces.
As a result, the exhibition serves as a showcase for new vehicles, equipment and technologies and as a forum for discussions on civil protection trends, civil-military cooperation, applications of artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, data connectivity, smart command-and-control systems and solutions to strengthen society's capacity to respond to emergencies.
According to organisers, INTERSCHUTZ 2026 is the largest edition in the event's history, featuring around 1,750 exhibitors from 55 countries across more than 118,000 square metres of exhibition space.
Themes such as the impact of climate change, turning points in civil protection, sustainability, digitalisation and data connectivity have been included among the event's key topics, reflecting the increasingly important role of fire protection and rescue services within countries' non-traditional security frameworks.
Vietnam's participation this year is represented by Hiep Hoa Group, the largest specialized vehicle manufacturer in Vietnam, which is showcasing specialised vehicles and fire prevention, firefighting and rescue equipment researched, manufactured and developed by the company.
Its presence marks a notable step for a Vietnamese enterprise at an international event known for its demanding technical standards, certification requirements, reliability benchmarks and intense competition.
At the exhibition, Hiep Hoa is presenting a range of products and equipment for firefighting and rescue operations, including an autonomous firefighting robot, an aerial firefighting platform equipped with mechanical demolition tools, specialised fire engines, aerial ladder trucks, multifunctional smoke extraction vehicles and other technical solutions for emergency response operations.
Speaking to the media in Germany, Dao Chi Hiep, General Director of Hiep Hoa Group, said INTERSCHUTZ 2026 has evolved beyond a purely technical exhibition and is becoming a forum that sets the direction for the future of firefighting, rescue and civil protection.
He said the inclusion of topics such as dual-use cooperation, global climate change and the rapid development of AI demonstrates that the fire protection and rescue sector is entering a period of profound transformation in which technology, coordination and crisis response capabilities will play an increasingly important role.
Dao Thu Hoa, Deputy General Director of Hiep Hoa, said Vietnamese enterprises have mastered technologies in the production of firefighting and rescue vehicles and equipment and are fully capable of competing in international markets.
She noted that Vietnam is entering a new era aimed at achieving strong and prosperous development. In that context, Politburo Resolution 68 on private sector development, which identifies private enterprises as an important driver of the economy, together with Politburo Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, has provided additional momentum for domestic enterprises to invest in in-depth research into technology products.
These products require sophisticated capabilities in mechanical engineering, hydraulics, control systems, operational safety and quality certification, particularly in specialised sectors such as firefighting and rescue services, she added.
As Vietnam advances industrialisation, modernisation and innovation, the presence of Vietnamese-branded products at major international forums contributes to conveying the message that the country's industrial sector is striving to reach the global market through technology, quality and a spirit of cooperation, while gradually establishing its position in specialised, high-value and technology-intensive industries worldwide.
