Vietnam marks its first participation in Russia's largest industrial exhibition

A delegation led by Nguyen Chi Thanh, member of the Standing Board of the Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Province, is attending the exhibition and related activities from July 6 to 8.

Located next to the pavilion of Indonesia, this year's partner country, Quang Ninh's booth has attracted a large number of visitors with its tourism displays, despite the exhibition's industrial focus. Many stopped to learn more about the province's tourism attractions as well as business sectors offering potential opportunities for cooperation.

Speaking to the media after the plenary session, Nguyen Chi Thanh said he was impressed by the scale of the exhibition. The participation and speeches of the prime ministers of Russia, Belarus and several other countries confirmed the exhibition's position as one of Russia's leading industrial events and an important platform for international industrial and investment cooperation.

The exhibition provides opportunities for businesses and investors to explore products and new technologies while building partnerships. For Quang Ninh, trade promotion and attracting investment in tourism are among the province's main objectives at the event.

As one of Vietnam's leading tourism provinces, Quang Ninh is also using the exhibition to expand cooperation with Russian partners. The delegation also met with local authorities and representatives of the Ural Tourism Association to discuss plans to attract more Russian visitors, particularly from the prosperous Ural region, to Quang Ninh.

Drawing on contacts established with potential partners during the exhibition, Nguyen Chi Thanh went on that Quang Ninh will develop follow-up plans in line with the province's long-term development strategy while strengthening links with businesses, investors and local authorities. The aim  is to build on the province's strengths and help make Quang Ninh one of Vietnam's leading provinces, particularly in applying science and technology to economic development through 2050, in line with the orientations of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee Secretariat, he stressed.

A large number of young visitors were drawn to Quang Ninh's booth by its high-quality tourism and resort services before discovering opportunities for cooperation in other sectors.

Among them was Dmitry Kuzmin, Deputy Commercial Director of CFREX, a company specializing in hydrofoil manufacturing that has cooperated with some partners in southern Vietnam. After seeing images of cruises on Ha Long Bay, he said he saw strong potential for cooperation with Quang Ninh and opportunities to expand the company's operations in northern Vietnam.

Kuzmin described his company's cooperation with Vietnamese partners as a positive experience and expressed confidence in future opportunities for both sides.

The delegation also met with the Ural Tourism Association, where discussions focused on plans to open air links between the two localities and boost tourist flows between Russia's Ural region, which straddles Europe and Asia, and Quang Ninh, a province with many similarities and ambitious development plans.
