Vietnam International Aviation Expo 2022 slated for September

VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City hosted a press conference on April 2 to introduce "Vietnam International Aviation Expo - VIAE 2022" which is scheduled to take place from September 15 to September 19.

The event has been highly anticipated by both domestic and foreign partners and businesses, following over two years of postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The exhibition aims to promote the Vietnamese aviation exchange as the global aviation industry seeks to bounce back while contributing to enhancing co-operation and opening up greater opportunities for recovery moving into the post-pandemic period.

The expo is expected to provide an ideal venue in which experts, business leaders, airlines, and both leading domestic and foreign manufacturers can share new development opportunities and initiatives, and at the same time introduce advanced aviation technology and modern aircraft models.

Along with giant manufacturers such as Boeing, this is marks a special occasion for domestic and foreign enterprises as they seek integrate into the global aviation development and enhance their position within the international market.

Nguyen Huu Nam, deputy director of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Ho Chi Minh City, said that with recovery momentum in 2021, the global aviation industry has shown bright prospects for impressive growth of 47%, particularly when the restrictive measures put in place due to the Omicron variant are gradually removed.

Amid the ongoing recovery and development of the aviation industry, the VIAE 2022 will provide updated information, and fully assess the prospects and resilience of the aviation industry. It will also help boost investment and business co-operation between Vietnamese and global partners.
