Vietnam exhibition in Thailand opens new trade and investment opportunities

VOV.VN - A Vietnam exhibition held in Thailand has attracted Vietnamese businesses and overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs, helping create new opportunities for trade, investment and greater participation in regional supply chains.

Running  from July 3 to 5 at the Khon Kaen International Convention and Exhibition Center (KICE), the exhibition was jointly organized by the Consulate General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen, CP Land Group, the Khon Kaen provincial administration, the Thai-Vietnamese Business Association, and the Association of Thai People of Vietnamese Origin in Khon Kaen as part of BEYOND FOOD EXPO 2026.

The exhibition featured Vietnamese companies and overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs, introducing representative brands in food, beverages, tourism and logistics, including Me Trang Coffee, Vietnam Tea Shop, BKT Group, Ocean and OPL, together with a range of traditional Vietnamese food products presented by the Vietnamese community in Thailand.

The event helped promote Vietnamese brands, expand connections between businesses in Vietnam and the overseas Vietnamese business community, promote trade and investment cooperation, and encourage greater participation in regional supply chains.

In his opening speech, Dinh Hoang Linh, Consul General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen, said the exhibition combines economic and cultural diplomacy as part of activities marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand (August 6, 1976-August 6, 2026).

He said the event also helps implement agreements reached during the official visit to Thailand by Party General Secretary and State President, thereby contributing to the more substantive and effective development of the Vietnam-Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Yutthaporn Pirunsan, Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen, welcomed Vietnam's first participation in a large-scale trade fair in the province, calling it a meaningful event for strengthening economic cooperation, people-to-people exchanges and friendly relations between the two nations.

Over the three-day event, the Vietnam Exhibition drew thousands of visitors. Notably, Vietnamese and Thai businesses signed a number of memorandums of understanding (MOUs) covering import-export, tourism and logistics.

The organizers expressed the hope that the exhibition will create further opportunities for cooperation and contribute to raising the bilateral trade target to US$25 billion at an early date.
