Seminar connects Da Nang firms and Japanese partners
VOV.VN - The central coastal city of Da Nang hosted a virtual seminar on July 14 as part of efforts to strengthen connectivity between the city’s innovation startup ecosystem and Japanese partners.
Addressing the event, Vu Thi Bich Hau, deputy director of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, emphasised that local authorities have introduced policies to create a legal basis for developing the startup ecosystem over recent times.
The locality has also successfully established a startup ecosystem with six incubators, two creative spaces, nine co-working zones, four investment funds, 10 startup clubs, and a number of innovative start-ups.
Furthermore, it has expanded international co-operation with partners such as India, Singapore, Australia, the United States, France, and the International Association of French-speaking mayors in a bid to further support the development of eco-startup system moving into the post-pandemic period.
There remains plenty of room to boost co-operation and investment between Da Nang and Japanese partners, affirmed the official, adding that the seminar will serve to create opportunities for the city’s innovative start-ups to gain greater access to the Japanese, Northeast Asian, and international markets moving forward.
Hau also revealed that Da Nang has provided over VND4.1 billion in support of 23 innovative start-ups since the beginning of the year.
At present, the central city boasts 147 projects and over 50 innovative start-ups that have been set up through incubation and support programmes.
At the event, delegates also proposed a range of solutions aimed at fine-tuning the legal system in order to further attract investment in the context of greater international integration.
