Retail petrol prices reach new all-time high of VND31,578 per litre

VOV.VN - Domestic petrol prices set a new record of VND31,578 per litre following adjustments made by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade as of 3 p.m. on June 1.

According to the latest price adjustments, common petrol RON95-III has reached VND31,578 per litre, marking an increase of VND921 compared to the previous cycle.

Similarly, petrol E5RON92 rose by VND602 to be capped at VND30,235 per litre.

This marks the 11th consecutive surge to occur in retail petrol prices since the beginning of the year, whilst also setting a new record three times in a row.

Most notably, retail oil prices were also adjusted. In line with this change, the ceiling prices of diesel 0.05S and kerosene were subsequently set at no more than VND26,394 and VND25,346 per litre, respectively, representing respective rises of VND841 and VND941 per litre.

Moreover, the price of mazut 180CST 3.5S went up by VND303 to reach a maximum of VND20,901 per kilogram.

The two ministries also decided to make use of the petrol price stabilisation fund at a rate of VND100 per litre for E5 RON 92 and VND500 per litre for RON95-III.

Both the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance conduct a review and adjust domestic petrol and oil prices every 10 days in order to ensure they remain on a par with global market fluctuations.
