Retail petrol prices fall but oil prices rise sharply

VOV.VN - The domestic retail price of petrol tumbled slightly but that of oil went up sharply as of 3pm on September 5, announced the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

In line with the changes, the retail price of biofuel E5 - RON92 and RON95 decreased by VND370 and VND430 to VND23,350 per litre and VND24,230 per litre, respectively.

Meanwhile, oil prices witnessed a considerable increase, with the exception of mazut.

The price of diesel DO 0.05s-II and kerosene rose by VND1,430 and VND1,390 to VND25,180 and VND25,440 per litre, respectively.

However, the price of mazut dropped to VND16,079 per kilogram, a decline of VND470 per kg.

The two ministries also determined the necessity of extracting VND451 to VND493 per litre from fuel prices for the petrol price stabilisation fund.
