Petrol prices soar by nearly VND1,000 per litre

VOV.VN - Retail petrol prices increased by approximately VND1,000 per litre as of 3 p.m. on February 11 following the latest price adjustments made by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The price of E5 RON92 bio-fuel went up VND976 to a maximum of VND24,571 per litre, while that of RON95-III rose by VND962 to be sold at no more than VND25,322 per litre.

Furthermore, the ceiling prices of diesel 0.05S and kerosene were set at no more than VND19,865 and VND18,751 per litre, representing rises of VND962 and VND958 per litre, respectively.

Moreover, the price of mazut 180CST 3.5S inched up by VND666 per kilogram as they reached VND17,659 per kilogram.

This comes following the two ministries deciding to make use of the petrol price stabilisation fund, with the use of the fund for bio-fuel petrol E5 RON92 and RON95 being VND200 and VND50 per litre, respectively.

In addition, the use of the fund for mazut was VND300 per kilogram.

Both the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance are currently in the process of reviewing and adjusting domestic petrol and oil retail prices every 10 days on a par with global market fluctuations.
